Located at 9,500 feet in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, The Peaks has much to offer throughout the year. Skiing in winter; golf, tennis, hiking, rock climbing, and horseback riding in summer; and a spectacular landscape in every season make this a favored destination. But it's the 42,000-square-foot spa, voted among the top two spas in the US by Conde Nast Traveler readers, that's earned The Peaks its coveted place in the hearts of Tiny Travelers. The deluxe facility offers New Age, Native American, Asian, and European healing treatments as well as facials, saunas, steam rooms, squash courts, and a weight room available free of charge to all guests. While you're pampered on the slopes, on the courts, or in the kiva, your children can play at the KidSpa, which provides excellent care and exciting programs for children from 8 weeks to 11 years. The Peaks' trained staff is bonded and knows CPR and first aid.

In the ski season, childcare is available for children 8 weeks to 5 years old. A maximum of 20 children are accepted to maintain a ratio of one adult to five children, so reservations are highly recommended. KidSpa activities range from indoor and outdoor play to story time, swimming, scavenger hunts and games. Fees for "Pioneers"(under 2 1/2 years) are $50/full day, $35/half-day; for "Explorers" (2 1/2-5 years) $40/full and $30/half-day. During the Memorial Day to Labor Day high season, an exciting and challenging "Mountaineers" program is offered to 6- to 11-year-olds. This rigorous day camp includes horseback riding, tennis, hiking, fly fishing, and swimming (full days at $60). Lunch and snacks are provided in every in every KidSpa session. Private babysitting is also available ($8-10/hr. for one child; an extra $4/hr. for each additional child). Double rooms for four (under 16 free) range from $150 to $435/night depending on the season, except at Christmas, which is much more costly.
