What are computer & desktop calendars?
Desktop calendars are images (usually in .jpg format) that feature destinations from around the world. Included on the image is a calendar for the month. Both Windows and Mac users can download desktop calendars for their computer's desktop wallpaper (background screen).

Do I have a choice of sizes?
At this time, desktop calendars are available in one size (measured in pixels): 1024x768.

Are all computer wallpaper & desktop calendars free?
Yes, you may download any desktop calendar at no cost. You will, however, be required to register with the Away Network prior to receiving your calendar. Read more about registration and our privacy policy here.

How do I download my computer wallpaper & desktop calendar?
Windows Users: Choose your wallpaper size by clicking either "800 pixels" or "1024 pixels" from the main wallpaper page. A new window will open. Wait for the image to load and right-click on it. Select "Set as Background."
Mac Users: Choose your wallpaper size by clicking either "800 pixels" or "1024 pixels" from the main wallpaper page. A new window will open. Wait for the image to load. Click and hold on the image. Save to your hard drive. In your Desktop Pictures control panel, click "Select Picture" and choose the image. Click "Set Desktop."

It's a new month, but my desktop calendar hasn't changed. What can I do?
The desktop calendar you download is an image that includes a calendar (not an application), and therefore does not update automatically. If you would like to choose a new calendar, please visit the desktop wallpaper page or the desktop wallpaper archive page to select a new desktop calendar to download.

Will I be required to register to receive my computer wallpaper & desktop calendar?
Yes, registration is required in order to download a desktop calendar. You also need to be logged in to the Away Network to download a calendar. Read more about registration and our privacy policy here.

How often are new computer wallpaper & desktop calendars available?
We offer new wallpaper at least three times per week, sometimes more often. Visit our desktop wallpaper page to download the most recent wallpaper.

Can I be notified about new computer wallpaer & desktop calendars as they become available?

I like the picture I currently have on my desktop, but it's a new month. Can I only update the calendar, not the image?
While we strive to provide a wide range of destinations throughout the month, we know there are images people are particularly fond of. At this time, however, the picture and calendar are part of the same image so it is not possible to update one but not the other.
