In late 2013, Tucson is getting a four-mile stretch of streetcar—and lately it has been pushing for the title of “Best 23 Square Miles of Mexican Food in the U.S.” But the southern Arizona city is already established as a primo winter cycling and hiking getaway—highs rarely go below 68 from October to June. Saguaro National Park is home to 165 miles of hiking trails, and if it’s road biking you’re after, some 500 miles of pavement leave from all sides of the city. Try climbing Mount Lemmon as a test piece.
