New York, New York
Okay, so NYC is always a great place to visit, and 2013 is no different. But here are a couple specific reasons why you should go this year. First, it’s the 100th anniversary of Grand Central Terminal, complete with rare exhibits of historic train cars and family-friendly activities. Second, “Punk: Chaos to Couture” takes over the Met—see leather and spikes instead of mummies and altarpieces. Third, 50 new hotels are opening in 2013 alone, so there’s a chance one might be in your price range. And fourth, Nathan Lane returns to Broadway in the new play The Nance. Also in Broadway news, there's an upcoming musical about Steve Jobs and Bill Gates called Nerds, as well as a rumor about a musical based on Gilligan’s Island.
