Washington’s 900,000-acre jewel boasts both high peaks and rugged shoreline—and, thanks to the largest dam-removal project in U.S. history, it’s gaining a rushing river. Take a half-day trip with Olympic Raft and Kayak, then drive up Hurricane Ridge for killer views and hike out to Shi Shi Beach to dip a toe into the Pacific.
