Spent 6 days here for a conference last October. The conference space is great--we stayed in the bungalows up in the forest near the meeting space--but the town didn't have much going on during the day. Night was a different story, with three or four raucous pubs going at all hours. We also hiked Ben Macdui, which was really windy but well-worth the effort. It's moderate but strenuous: You don't need to be a professional mountaineer to handle it, but don't do it in sneakers and a t-shirt, either.
