River rafters in search of a change, look no further. How does this grab you: Grade V rapids at the source of the Nile? That's exactly what's served up near Jinja, in central Uganda, just a short drive from Kampala. Rafting has only taken off here in the last couple of years, but already it's become one of the major highlights of a visit to Uganda. One- and two-day trips are offered, and you can choose your level of adrenaline rush—from serious to right over the top! While it's not the cheapest rafting in the world, the location makes this something really special.
