The 6,000-foot-high Grand Ridge Trail is perfectly balanced between sky and sea. For 11 miles (round-trip), you'll be treated to mind-blowing views of the Pacific Ocean, the island of Victoria, the Canadian Cascades, and 10,778-foot Mount Baker. Best hiked June through early September (snow closes passes as late as June, so be sure to check on trail conditions first), this above-treeline spectacular will spur a lifetime of wilderness exploration for you and your kids.
