Does snow camping in subzero, high-wind weather conditions get your adrenaline flowing? Then demanding Huascaran, Peru's highest mountain at 22,206 feet, is for you. Surrounded by the gleaming peaks of the Cordillera Blanca, Huascaran offers not only a challenging climb but incredible views as well. Various routes are used, but all demand high-altitude climbing skills, knowledge of crevasse rescue, and a commitment of several days. Come prepared! June through August are the best months.
