Argentina's Top 20 Adventures

| Fat Tire Power: Two-wheel the Sierras |
The scenic mountains to the west of Cordoba, Argentina's second-largest city, are a favorite vacation site for Argentine tourists, but outside the peak summer months of January and February they're almost deserted. With summits in the 9,000-foot range, the Sierras have a mild climate and a dense network of paved and gravel roads that make them ideal for mountain biking. A good starting place is the town of Alta Gracia, home town of the legendary revolutionary Ernesto "Che" Guevara. The towns and villages scattered throughout the Sierras are full of campgrounds and moderately priced bed-and-breakfast accommodations.
