Recreation
Fishing and a short hiking trail is offered on this land in addition to a guide book which helps visitors appreciate the island's natural and cultural history. Camping is not available. Tours of The Governor Baxter School for Deaf are available upon request. Hunting and trapping are allowed, subject to state rules and regulations. Located on Mackworth Island in the Greater Portland Area, this public reserved land may be accessed via Andrews Avenue off US 1.
