Myrtle Beach is a great place to go for a cheaper family beach vacation. There are activities to do for all ages and decent food to be found. Stay either North or South Myrtle Beach. Ocean Blvd on ""The Strip"" is mainly college & high schoolers cruising around getting slightly out of control at their first bout of freedom. There are also good campgrounds like Ocean Lakes. Myrtle has tons of shopping (Tanger Outlets, Barefoot Landing, Broadway @ the Beach), a few amusement parks, lots of golf, restaurants, aquariums -- and all of it is decently priced. Litchfield way south near Pawleys Island is a decent place to stay as well, especially if you are more focused on family beach times, but it's a drive from Myrtle. Near by, Murrell's Inlet & Calabash are known for their amazing seafood as well! Go early or you'll have to wait...

  Attractions for Teens in Pennsylvania, Maryland, NC, and Virginia?

  My family and I are going on vacation to Myrtle Beach in a week and we are taking two days to get there and two days to get back. We are going through Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, and Virginia. If anyone knows of any fun places to stop that are NON-HISTORICAL and fun for the 13 year old twins (girls) and would like to share, that would be great! Thanks!
