Windham Mountain Ski Resort

Overview by Mitch Kaplan
Just a few miles north of Hunter, but worlds apart as far as atmosphere, sits Windham Mountain. The modern base lodge, among the most pleasant anywhere, and the generally simple trail layout make this a great place for intermediates and families. Beginners find safe haven on the far right side of the hill, while advanced skiers and riders who love speed will find steep cruising on the far left. Meanwhile, multiple terrain parks keep teens happy whether they choose to board or ski.

I`ve been to almost every Mid Atlantic resort at one time or another with my local ski club. We went here last year, but I did not like it. Maybe I`m spoiled on the few times I`ve skied western resorts with more vertical. This place would be great for families with kids, and the lodge is pretty nice.Great place to learn to ski. Pros: Great for kids, Well maintained, Short lines, Easy to access.
