Waterville has developed a variety of packages that create one of the East's better values. Despite hosting numerous World Cup races, the mountain, with its many wide trails, caters best to intermediates. The four terrain parks are for beginner through advanced boarders. And the base village—set a mile or so off the mountain—is very pleasant, offering good lodging, nice restaurants, a welcoming collection of shops, an ice rink, and a cross-country ski/snowshoe center.
