The Snowy Range Ski Area's base elevation of 9,000 feet makes it one of the highest ski resorts in the country. Nestled in the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest in the Snowy Mountain Range 32 miles west of Laramie, this ski area boasts 27 runs, a 1,000-foot vertical drop, 30 percent beginner terrain, 40 percent intermediate terrain, and 30 percent advanced terrain. There is also a terrain park for snowboarders.
Snowy Range also has a certified ski school offering group and private lessons for skiers and snowboarders of all ability levels, including children as young as 4.
