Loon's base facilities are its strength. Slopeside lodging is plentiful, and not only is lift capacity more than adequate, a limited ticket sales policy keeps lines short. Here, too, intermediate cruising is the area's strength, but the North Peak keeps experts happy. Another Loon strength: programming. They do well by kids, have a unique snowtubing track, and offer ice skating. Loon has seven terrain parks that cater to every ability, a ski and snowboard school, and nordic skiing/snowshoeing.
