Brighton Ski Resort
Overview by Ashley Patterson
Located in most any other region, Brighton would be considered a resort with an outstanding choice of advanced and expert terrain. However, with Solitude, Alta, and Snowbird as its neighbors, Brighton at times gets labeled as the beginner's resort. This is a fallacy, as expert trails can be found throughout. As a result of its location at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon, Brighton also gets some of the deepest powder in the western United States. The Milly Express high-speed detachable quad makes all of Brighton's terrain accessible by high-speed lift, giving you more time cruising down the pistes.
Because it has lots of natural terrain features and lots of powder, it is a favorite with local snowboarders, consistently ranking among the top resorts in the country.
Where: Brighton is only 30 minutes southeast of downtown Salt Lake City.
