Overview by Ashley Patterson
Beaver Mountain is a small, family-owned resort located 27 miles from Logan (about 110 miles north of Salt Lake City) in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest. It is not typically considered a destination resort, as its skiable terrain represents just a small fraction of that of its nearby competitors. Beaver Mountain has six lifts servicing 664 acres and offers a good mix of beginner and intermediate terrain. This, combined with its affordable ticket prices, make it an excellent choice for families, particularly those on a budget.
Where: Beaver Mountain is located 27 miles east of Logan, Utah, in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest, off Highway 89. From Salt Lake City: Take I-15 North to Exit 364, on Highway 89 to Logan. Once in Logan, turn right at 400 North. Continue on this road (Hwy. 89) to the resort, 27 miles up Logan Canyon.
