A close-up view of the Space Needle is just one of many reasons to spend time together at Seattle Center.  

The ever-changing geysers and sprays of the International Fountain in Seattle Center have attracted locals and visitors since it was built for the 1962 World's Fair.  

Come to Kerry Park in the Queen Anne neighborhood for one of the best sunset views in the city.  

Slightly touristy but lots of fun, Pike Place Market overlooking the waterfront has everything from fishmongers and fresh produce stands to craft stalls and restaurants.  

Seattle is the starting point for many Alaska cruises.  

For a fun ride and an overview of the city, hop the Seattle Center Monorail for the two-minute trip between downtown and Seattle Center.  

Couples gather along the Seattle waterfront for sunset each evening.  

Ride the elevator to the top of the Space Needle on a clear day for views of Mt. Rainier, Puget Sound, and the Olympic Peninsula. The ride up at dusk as the city lights come on is even more romantic.  

Plan on an hour or two in Pike Place Market browsing and having lunch at one of the small restaurants.  

Although Seattle Center is home to many of the city's attractions, concerts, fairs, and festivals, on a warm day it's also the perfect place for a stroll in the sun.
