The legendary Sun Studio claims to be the birthplace of rock & roll, launching the careers of such luminaries as Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, BB King, and Roy Orbison. Take a tour and pose with the microphone that Elvis crooned into when he recorded here.

Duckmaster Jason Sensat leads the Peabody Ducks from their rooftop penthouse downstairs to the Peabody Hotel fountain every morning; they paddle and splash all day before being escorted back to their penthouse in the evening. The Peabody Duck Parade is a Memphis tradition twice each day.

The National Civil Rights Museum is housed in the former Lorraine Motel where Martin Luther King, Jr., was assassinated. Today it is a deeply moving chronicle of the American civil rights movement and one of the highlights of a visit to Memphis.
