If you're honeymooning on Cozumel and hoping to start a family soon, look for a painting or statue of this lady. IxChel is the Mayan goddess of fertility. The snake on her head is a symbol of medicine and healing, and the water jug represents the womb. Who knows? You might leave the island very blessed, indeed.

Cozumel is blessed with blue-green seas and endless stretches of soft sand. This beach, just a short drive from town and the cruise-ship docks, feels miles away from civilization. It beckons lovers to walk and talk, sit and reflect, and splash through the waves as if nothing else on earth really matters.

Few places on Cozumel are more inviting than Chankanaab National Park. Follow the path along the edge of the aqua lagoon, searching together for iguanas posing on the walls and rocks or camouflaging themselves among the foliage. If you stop for a kiss each time you spot an iguana, you'll have kisses galore to remember.
