Wuksachi Lodge is the lone lodging facility in Sequoia National Park, one of the most scenic and underrated units managed by the National Park Service. Two additional lodging facilities operated by a different concessionaire are in neighboring Kings Canyon National Park. Sequoia is especially noted for its eponymous groves of giant trees. Although not as tall as California's related coastal redwoods, the massive trunks of the sequoia trees are simply amazing.

At Wuksachi Lodge, three hotel buildings are tucked away in the fir forest at 7,000 feet surrounding an elegant central lodge, restaurant, and bar. This is the kind of tasteful mountain architecture that doesn't offend the natural beauty surrounding it.
