On the northern coast of New Britain island is this well-respected, full-service diving resort, popular with scuba freaks from around the world (thanks to its proximity to some majorly diverse reefs in Kimbe Bay). Traditional bungalows hidden in the jungle-like foliage front a long, narrow beach, and there are some rooms in a plantation house as well. Although predominantly a dive resort, Walindi also caters to non-divers with great snorkeling, day trips to nearby places of interest, birdwatching, a swimming pool, and low key evening entertainment. The friendly staff is top notch.
