Year-round fun is to be had in the Wenatchee Valley and surrounding Cascade Mountains. There's badminton, volleyball, horseshoes, an art walk, and a natural rock-lined swimming pool on the resort grounds. Sleeping Lady rents bikes, cross-country skis, and snowshoes for hitting nearby trails. River rafting and hiking also make popular day trips.

The resort has a long history of eco-mindedness. When it was acquired in 1991, 18 buildings that had belonged to the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s were retrofitted and the site was replanted with native vegetation. Recycled plastic bags and wood scraps were used to build 28,000 feet of decking. Reclaimed wood from the site was used in new construction. Today, a geothermal-exchange system warms and cools the structures through insulated, underground tubes.
