Paradise Inn sits in a stunning location that affords excellent views of scenic Mount Rainier (weather permitting). As is the case with most of the historic national park lodges, the lobby at Paradise Inn is quite impressive and the guestrooms are relatively small. The two-story lobby boasts two large stone fireplaces and a vaulted ceiling. Large log beams frame a mezzanine that wraps above the main floor.

The inn offers a total of 117 rooms, most of which are in the annex. The least expensive rooms do not have a private bathroom and are in the main lodge. These 32 rooms share four showers, one men's restroom, and one women's restroom. Additional restrooms are on the floor below. Rooms without a private bathroom are comfortable but generally quite small. Most rooms with a private bathroom are in the annex and cost about $50 per night more than rooms without a bath.

Paradise Inn is a must-see for nearly any visitor to the park, which means the lobby tends to get its share of tourist traffic during the day. However, the early mornings and evenings are generally quite pleasant, especially when one or both of the fireplaces are in use. The mezzanine offers a relatively peaceful place for reading, writing letters, or playing board games when the lobby is crowded. Guests enjoy complimentary tea and cookies on the mezzanine each afternoon.
