Visually, the beach—Aruba's widest—steals the show. But the resort, with its thatched roofs, cool cabanas, and wooden walkways, conjures up a serene scene that may well pull you in off the sand, at least for a while. With 45 cabanas, there's usually plenty of real estate on which to find a shady spot to lounge. Better still, cabana wait service means all you have to do is plant an orange flag in the sand when you're ready to order food or drinks.

Guest rooms are crisp and clean—all boast luxury bedding, flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, iPod docking stations, and a balcony or patio. Most rooms are "deluxe" and were renovated in 2010 with shiny new bathrooms that include a rain shower.

You won't find a disco, a kids' club, or the never-ending entertainment of a large resort, but you will find quality dining, with three on-site options that range from casual to chic. Since the all-inclusive package is offered as an option rather than a requirement, all meals are à la carte. And your rate also includes one off-property dinner per stay. Of course, it's possible that once you're comfortably ensconced in the warm embrace of the Manchebo Beach Resort, you may be loath to leave.
