It is quite possible to spend an entire vacation within the grounds of this remote resort, especially if you're seeking tranquility and an abundance of nature. All the comforts of an upscale resort are integrated into rooms and suites that look out on the sea or lushly landscaped gardens, and two open-air restaurants serve meals and drinks all day. But the 350-acre property is miles from town, so if you require shops, nightlife, and a variety of restaurants, you will not be happy at the Lodge. (+) More

- Do you want your ceremony on the beach or on the cliffs? You can do either here. The resort has a honeymoon package as well.
- The best place on the island to toast the sunset (and each other) is Christoffel Sunset Lounge, perched on the westernmost point of Curacao, adjacent to the lodge's pool.
- Playa Kalki is one of the island's best dive and snorkel spots, so if you're divers or want to learn together, this is an excellent hotel.
Lodge Kura Hulanda has all the elements of an idyllic Caribbean vacation full of romance: clear, aqua waters and a reef just offshore; a pristine sweep of beach with steps leading up to a free-form pool with panoramic views; and massages offered in an open-air pavilion cooled by sea breezes. The secluded lodge has 42 rooms and 32 suites in two-story buildings along the cliff, and each room is a mix of tropical flair and upscale detail.
