Lots of resorts offer on-site water parks, but not many water parks give you a location like historic Niagara Falls. Guests at the Fallsview resort complex can choose from four hotels with direct indoor connections at a variety of rates and lodging types, including the four-star luxury of the Sheraton, the classic Crowne Plaza, and the family-oriented Skyway Inn. The value-conscious Hampton Inn is located adjacent to the water park. The variety of lodging options means guests have a lot of choice as to the kind of accommodations they prefer. Travelers looking for upscale details with a modern feel can opt for the four-star Sheraton hotel, while those looking for more classic luxury might appreciate the Crowne Plaza's blend of elegant old-world décor and updated amenities. The Skyline Hotel offers newly renovated, value-conscious, and sleek family suites that sleep up to six guests, while the Hampton Inn's free breakfast, free parking, free HBO, and free WiFi go easy on tight budgets. All the adjoining hotels offer special water-park packages.
The 20-acre resort is housed inside the Falls Avenue Entertainment Complex, offering breathtaking views of Niagara Falls. The 125,000-square-foot water park is the main attraction, featuring six-story waterslides, a full-sized wave pool, a mat-racing slide, centrifuge "bowl" slide, Tiny Tots play area, Jungle Beach Playland for drier fun, a 1,000-gallon tipping bucket, and more. There's also the year-round outdoor Sunnyside Patio & Pool, offering a sundeck (heated in the winter) for lounging. Lifeguards are on duty, and an on-site snack bar offers light meals, treats, and drinks. Though there's a lot here to keep a family busy for a day or two, note the Fallsview Indoor Waterpark doesn't have the same variety of slides and attractions to which diehard water-park fans may be accustomed in parks of similar size (much of the square footage is taken up by the sun deck and patio). Though some of the more standard water-park favorites, like a lazy river, are missing, even bigger kids will still find plenty to do.
Keep in mind that while three of the hotels are connected to the water park, the complex is large and getting to and from your room can be quite a journey (the Crowne Plaza is closest, with the Skyline Inn running a close second). During busy check-in and check-out times, there may be a wait at the elevators. The Hampton Inn is across the street from the water park, so if you stay there, you'll need to plan on an outdoor hike to get from park to room.
