Getting There
Las Vegas is one of the easiest and cheapest places in the world to fly to. The city’s McCarran International is one of the world’s busiest airports, handling half a million flights and more than 33 million passengers annually. Las Vegas is also served by Amtrak, Greyhound and I-15.

To get from the airport to the Flamingo Hilton at 3555 Las Vegas Blvd. South, (702) 733-3111 or (800) 732-2111, take I-215 to I-15 north and get off on Flamingo Avenue East. Take a left on Las Vegas Boulevard (aka the Strip) and turn right into the Flamingo’s driveway.

Self-parking is free in the parking structure, or leave your car with a valet under the porte cochere.

Lodging and Dining
The Flamingo Hilton is among the top few hotel-casinos in Las Vegas, in terms of size, facilities, service and rates. It’s unusual for a Las Vegas megaresort: it boasts neither spectacles nor gimmicks, relying on the old stand-bys of quality and comfort. All the rooms are four-star, and a couple thousand of them are only a few years old.

The Alta Villa Italian restaurant has a Tuscan flair; the minestrone is ladled from a 25-gallon kettle simmering in front of the open kitchen. The buffet is in a huge glass-walled room with a view of the water park. The Flamingo Room has the best salad bar in town. There is also a Japanese steakhouse and a Chinese restaurant.
