Cheetah Mother and Cub

When brothers Anup and Manoj Shah were small children growing up in Kenya, one of their favorite activities was visiting nearby Nairobi National Park, where they spent countless hours gazing on wild animals roaming in their natural environment. Anup recalls, “Those trips instilled in us a true love for nature and for outings in the wilderness.” They also inspired careers in wildlife photography.

Here, they’ve captured a cheetah cub that woke up in early evening next to its mother. Both mother and cub gave—and received—a washing.
