What to do in Percy Quin State Park

Loblolly pines and stately magnolia trees, rolling hills, spectacular seasonal flowers, and a year-round mild climate await visitors to Percy Quin State Park. One of the original state parks cleared and constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, Percy Quin is today a delightful blend of the old and new. Located just two and a half hours from New Orleans, 1700 acre Percy Quin State Park provides a colorful natural backdrop for a variety of outdoor activities.

Park amenities at Percy Quin State Park include a visitor's center, a game room, nature trail, swimming pool, miniature golf course, playground and picnic area. The Lake Tangipahoa convention center makes this an excellent facility to host group activities. Visitors may choose camping, cabins, or lodges for their overnight accommodations.

Visitors will find hiking, camping, golfing, swimming and picnicking opportunities.

The park is located 6 miles south of McComb off I-55, exit 13.

Mississippi generally has a temperate climate, with cool winters and warm, humid summers. Freezing temperatures are possible in the winter. Thunderstorms and are possible throughout the year but most common in the spring and summer. Tropical storms occasionally strike the coast during the hurricane season.
