Melody rates Gettysburg National Military Park

The experience of Gettysburg will change your life. The battlefield was extensive and have amazing monuments. The area is incredibly beautiful. If you take one of the driving tours offered in the visitor center you will get a great overview of what happened in that significant part of the Civil War. If you walk through the Gettysburg National Cemetary you will stand in sad awe of the lives lost during the battle. You find it incredible and horrible when the current wars in the middle east lose 4,00 men in a year. But to realize that over 63,000 men lost their lives over a 3 day period to help forge our nation into what it is today. It's rather a solemn and mind boggling reality. Gettysburg is very much a must see and experience on anybodies travel plans to that area.
