The Garden of the Gods, situated between Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs, offers striking views of bizarre red rock formations. This billion-year-old garden of rock is a registered national natural landmark. During the summer, the visitor center offers night walks that allow you to catch a glimpse of some of its nocturnal residents such as the bat.

At Seven Falls in South Cheyenne Canyon, you can watch seven separate waterfalls as they cascade down a 181-foot sheer granite cliff. A mountain elevator cut into the granite transports visitors up to an observation deck known as the "eagle's nest." At night, the falls are illuminated, creating the colorful illusion of splashing light. Nearby towns include Colorado Springs, Fairplay, Manitou Springs, and Lakewood.
