Lowry Falls Trail - #168
Hiwassee Ranger District
Length: 0.2 miles
Difficulty: Moderate
Description: This trail begins at Highway 30 on an old gravel road and increases in difficulty as it approaches the Falls area. Hikers can view waterfalls, rock bluffs, and rhododendron patches. Directions: From the Hiwassee District Office, turn left onto Mecca Pike (Highway 310) and proceed 0.8 miles to the traffic light. Turn left onto Highway 411 and travel south. Proceed 7.4 miles and turn left onto Highway 30 east. Travel 2.5 miles to the trailhead on the right side of the road. Rangers warn that turning in and pulling out is a safety consideration due to the visual restrictions along the road at this trailhead.

Spanking Stump Interpretive Trail - #169
Hiwassee Ranger District
Length: 0.25 miles
Difficulty: Easy
Description: This loop trail begins at the Quinn Springs-Shelter and provides an interpretive look at the wooded area found along the trail. Several foot bridges accommodate hikers at all skill levels. Parking is available at the Quinn Springs shelter. Directions: Take Highway 411 south out of Etowah to Highway 30 east. Turn left onto Highway 30 east and travel 1.6 miles to the Quinn Springs Recreation Area. Turn right and then immediately left into the parking lot. Follow signs to Oswald Dome Trail #80 for access to Spanking Stump trail.

Moccasin Path - Trail #177

Description: This interpretive trail is on the east shores of Indian Boundary Lake.

Cow Camp Trail - #173
Tellico Ranger District
Length: 0.78 mile
Difficulty: Easy
Description: Begins at the Tellico River Road about 1.5 miles east of Bald River Falls Picnic Area and ends on Bald River Trail #88. Roadside parking.

Conasauga Falls Trail - #170
Hiwassee Ranger District
Length: 0.84 mile
Difficulty: Moderate
Description: This moderately difficult trail offers hikers an opportunity to view two distinct forest types. You will travel along a pine ridge where wildfire has altered the vegetation and habitat and pass through a hollow where older hemlocks grow. The 30-foot Conasauga Falls offers excellent photographic opportunities. Directions: From Etowah, travel east on Mecca Pike (Highway 310) to the junction of Highway 68 in Tellico Plains. Turn right and follow Highway 68 south for three miles. Turn right on old Highway 68 and travel 1.1 miles to FDR #341. Follow 341 for 1.3 miles to FDR #341A and continue on this road for 0.6 miles to the trailhead on the left.

Cherry Log Gap - Trail #158

Difficulty: Moderate
Description: Begins off Strawberry Knob Road (FDR #217H) and goes to Fodderstack Trail #95. Roadside parking available.

Falls Branch - Trail #187
Tellico Ranger District
Length: 1.4 miles
Difficulty: Moderate with steep slopes
Description: Begins at Tellico-Robbinsville Road and ends at Falls Branch Falls. Trailhead parking is available on the Robbinsville Road below Rattlesnake Rock Observation Site.

Fisherman's Trail - #167
Hiwassee Ranger District
Length: 1.4 miles
Difficulty: Easy
Description: This trail begins at the Quinn Springs Fisherman's Parking Lot on State Highway 30. The trail follows the Hiwassee River to the Hiwassee River Picnic Area. It provides excellent access for fishermen and a unique opportunity for walkers to view the variety of flora along the river. Parking is provided at both Quinn Springs and the Hiwassee River Picnic Area. Directions: From the Hiwassee District Office, turn left onto Mecca Pike (Highway 310) and proceed 0.8 miles to the traffic light. Turn left onto Highway 411 and continue south for 7.4 miles. Turn left onto Highway 30 east and travel for 1.6 miles to the Hiwassee State Scenic Parking Area on the left.

Big Indian Branch - Trail #94

Length: 1.50 miles
Difficulty: Moderate
Description: Begins from the North River Road (FDR #217-2) and ends at the Tellico-Robbinsville Road's trailhead. Roadside parking on the North River Road is available.

Big Stack Gap Branch - Trail #139
Tellico Ranger District
Length: 1.7 miles
Difficulty: Moderate with fairly steep grades.
Description: Begins off Fodderstack Trail #95 about 200 yards southeast of the Crowder Fields and goes southeast to join North Carolina's Slickrock Creek Trail #42 at the state line. Parking only at Farr Gap.

Starr Mountain Spur 190A
Hiwassee Ranger District
Length: 1.7 miles
Difficulty: Easy
Description: This extension gives hikers a chance to view the Gee Creek/Oswald Dome region from a craggy overlook. Caution is needed at the end of the trail because of the cliff face. Directions: Travel along trail #190 to the top of Starr Mountain where #190A begins to the right.

Jeffrey - Trail #196
Tellico Ranger District
Length: 1.8 miles
Difficulty: Easy
Description: Begins from the Tellico-Robbinsville Road (165) and goes to its intersection with the South Fork Citico Trail #105. Parking available at the trailhead.
