Boston Romance Travel Tips
- The best view of the city is from the Skywalk Observatory high up the Prudential Tower. It's in the same building as the Top of the Hub restaurant, one of Boston's most romantic dining settings and a popular marriage proposal spot.
- Heavy traffic, expensive parking, and the downtown's maze-like streets can make having a car here a curse rather than a blessing. Boston is an excellent walking city, and whenever you want to ride, the subway and buses will take you quickly to just about anyplace worth visiting. A good walking hub is the area around Boston Garden and the Public Garden.
- If you're in town Tuesday or Friday from May through Thanksgiving, go to Copley Square from 11 A.M. to 6 P.M. for the farmers' market. You'll find a wide array of picnic fixings as well as some goodies to bring back to your hotel.
- A short walk from Copley Square will take you to lively Atlantic Fish Company, serving what may be the best seafood in a town famous for its ocean fare.
