Lawrence is in Kansas, which means most people automatically rule it out as having any sort of worthy entertainment. They couldn't be more wrong. The University of Kansas (KU) is in Lawrence, and when school is in session the town swells to nearly double its original population. Just like any college town, their Jayhawks are beloved here. You'll find his image everywhere, sandwiches named after coaches and players, and a team spirit that is undeniable. Not shockingly, since there are so many college-age people in town, there is a wonderful nightlife here. Mass Street is the place to go. This street is lined with bars and restaurants, and it's usually where everyone goes to celebrate a big win, or drown their sorrows after a loss.
