ROUTE DESCRIPTION: On this loop you can view the Golden Gate Bridge from below at Fort Point, where Jimmy Stewart rescued Kim Novak in Hitchcock’s mystery thriller Vertigo. Then cross the bridge into Marin and ride up the coast, past towering Mount Tamalpais. Wind your way around redwoods and the gorgeous Point Reyes National Seashore, where you can take an 0.6-mile “earthquake walk" that explores the infamous San Andrea Fault that ruptured here in 1906. As you cruise up Highway 1 north of Stinson Beach, you’re driving straight up the rift zone!
