Don't let the awful 1970s-style typography on the Web site turn you off. Friends Barcelona is a nice, new gay guesthouse offering a big, luxury penthouse with three terraces and incredible views of the city. The guesthouse is a few minutes walk from all gay bars, shopping boulevards, and restaurants. Rooms are stylishly decorated and have dark and sexy mood lighting, wide beds, and soft duvets. It's definitely a cut above your usual guesthouse. Owner Xavier gets top marks for friendly, unobtrusive service.
