Geyser Whitewater Expeditions, located on the hotel's property, leads rafting trips on the Gallatin River and rents mountain bikes.
Numerous trailheads in the Gallatin National Forest are within several miles of the hotel. Ask at the front desk for help with trip planning and directions to trailheads.

In general, Big Sky offers a wealth of outdoor activities, and numerous outfitters and rental shops in town can get you set up for an adventure almost regardless of where you're staying. Having the outfitter in your parking lot, a stone's throw away from the front door, however, is definitely a perk. Standard rooms are just that, and the deluxe rooms are simply a bit larger, but both are clean and comfortable. Positioning them next to one of Montana's better-regarded upscale dining rooms raises the luxury factor somewhat. The dinner menu at T-4 boasts adventurous carnivore plates like bacon-wrapped wild boar tenderloin and grilled New Zealand Red Deer. Of course, the hotel offers ski packages in the winter.
