If you want AC, you have to ask for it in advance (only a few rooms have it available), and there's a surcharge for it. While there's no TV in the rooms, there is a TV in one of the public areas.
Cribs and extra beds are available, but ask when you make your reservation.
Children under age three stay free, and ages three to 12 are charged 40 percent less than the full rate, but only on the rate that includes half board. If you book room-only or room with breakfast, kids over three are charged full price.

One of the best things about this nicely priced two-star hotel is its location at the edge of the archaeological area, just down the street from the ancient Pompeii villa of the same name. At the end of a long day of exploring, you have only to walk back to your hotel. It has a relaxed, family atmosphere, but what children will probably like best is the 83-foot long swimming pool in the shape of a traditional Roman vase. Some rooms are located in the main building, others are set around the pool, which has a shallow area for children. There are numerous other niceties for families, such as children's pricing.

The Villa dei Misteri Motel is located on the outskirts of the archaeological area of Pompeii. The ancient city's main entrance ('Porta Marina') is only 150 metres (a couple of streets) from us. The centre of the modern city is only two km (less than a mile) away. Two important means of transportation, the Circumvesuviana railway and the A3 Napoli-Salerno motorway, are both very close (150 and 300 metres, a few streets). This makes the Motel Villa dei Misteri an ideal starting point for trips to the Sorrentine peninsula, the Amalfi Coast, Naples and the area around Mount Vesuvius. In the centre of the hotel complex is 25-metre pool surrounded by a sun-terrace on which, during the summer, you can eat your meals from the restaurant. We also have a small conference room (for up to 40 people) that you can use for preparatory talks or lessons before visiting the Pompei excavations. Children up to 5 years old stay free of charge, if sharing bed with their parents.
