Located on scenic Piscadera Bay just north of Willemstad, the Marriott has long been the benchmark by which all other resorts on Curacao are measured, consistently offering first-rate lodging, service, and activities. The resort's open-air lobby and common areas are refreshing and welcoming, and its staff extremely attentive and friendly. All rooms have a private terrace or balcony, most with ocean or bay views, plus comfortable beds, wireless internet, and inventive accents and decor (especially for a hotel this size). The pool is attractive and well-maintained, though the chaise lounges are sometimes packed a bit too tightly. Guests who prefer the beach should bring water-shoes--like many beaches on Curacao, sharp coral fragments washed ashore and in the shallow areas can make getting in and out of the ocean barefoot a bit painful.
