Palm Springs has fully embraced its once cheesy '50s aesthetic, and finally the gay resorts have caught onto the appeal. This hip, mid-century property that opened in late 2004 (it was the former Alexander Resort), is a little more mellow and small compared to other gay properties. It contains just six well-designed rooms and three suites with ivory, tangerine, and avocado-green color schemes and sleek, mod furnishings. A substantial gourmet Continental breakfast is served, and the pool area with unimpeded views of the San Jacinto mountains complete the experience. A fax machine, copy machine, and WiFi make the place perfect for those looking to mix business with pleasure.
