What to do in Grass Point State Park

Grass Point State Parks juts out into the St. Lawrence Seaway offering beautiful scenery along with access to wonderful fishing waters. Anglers enjoy both day use and overnight seasonal facilities. A swimming beach and play areas are offered as well as a marina. Waterfowl hunting is permitted in season.

Grass Point State Park is on a point of land that projects into the American Channel of the St. Lawrence River, known for some of the best fishing in the country. The park is a popular spot for campers and day users, who come to boat, swim, fish, picnic or just to relax. There is a marina and boat launch, an area is available for games, and the sandy beach and shallow water are excellent for children.

Recreation
Grass Point State Park offers a swimming beach, a boat launch site, dockage, fishing, hunting, picnic tables and shelters, a children's playground, power boating and campground with showers. The fishing site, picnic area, campground and showers are handicapped accessible. The park is open from mid-May through mid-September. Waterfowl is permitted in season.

Located along the American Narrows, Grass Point State Park is just 1 mile west of Interstate 81 on SR 12 near Alexandria Bay.
