A Nalgene for Every Age: the Tumbler and Grip'n'Gulp
Nalgene has a bottle for practically every occasion, from extreme mountain climbing to playing intramural soccer in the local park. Two recent additions cater to the young and oldthe Grip'n'Gulp for toddlers and the tumbler for the adults. As for the former, well, your toddler might get spoiled if he knew all the design brainpower that went into Nalgene's Grip'n'Gulp. The rubberized lid and spout are molded for comfort and durability, the valve and lid hold back juice spills, and the tough Polycarbonate container will handle the inevitable dings of life with a rambunctious two-year-old. But let's not overcomplicate this sippy cup too much: it's easy for teeny hands to clasp, it comes in fun colors, and it'll carry enough of whatever rocket fuel your nipper's engines need.
The tumbler by Nalgene, meanwhile, wears many hatsit passes as a shaker, a mixer, a measurer, or just a plain ol' cup. The lightweight cups come in two sizes (eight or 16 ounces), are incredibly durable, and can be used for mixing a drink at home, on the boat, or at the campsite. If you're not a drinker, the cups still come in handy, as they fit together easily for packing, and can be used to share a variety of beverages. Available in Lilac, Turquoise, and Lime, with measurements on the side for your convenience. One tip: When you buy the tumbler, the cups can be tricky to pull apart. The key is to push the inner cup towards the outer cup until you hear a click, and repeat every 90 degrees, then pull the two apart. Don't worry, you only have to do that once.Grip'n'Gulp: $7.25, $3.25 for two-piece valve-replacement pack;
Tumbler:$6.25 for 8oz., $8.25 for 16oz.; www.nalgene-outdoor.com
