Everyone who has traveled with moisture-wicking clothing knows the fabric's many benefits: it's less prone to wrinkling, pulls sweat away from your skin to evaporate, and dries quickly in case you need to rinse it out or get caught in a rainstorm. But let's face it, most of those plain, single-color performance T-shirts are kind of boring. Spice it up with American Backcountry's extensive line of technical tees, which feature retro-looking scenes from the great outdoors printed right on to your choice of either Dri-release Performance or Duofold VariTEC Plus shirts. American Backcountry uses a printing process called dye sublimation, which, unlike most traditional methods, doesn't block the shirt's ability to wick moisture away from your body. The huge choice of graphics is mind-blowing, but the Vintage American Backcountry series really stands out. It features backcountry scenes from 14 national parks and other natural areas such as Mount Shasta, Nantahala National Forest, and Boundary Waters. So you can represent your favorite outdoors playground no matter where you are. Though all the T-shirts mentioned here come in both men's and women's sizes, American Backcountry has a women-specific line, too. The "woodcut" prints of blue birds, dragonflies, and autumn leaves are ultra-feminine and offer the same level of performance. But order with cautionthe shirts run a bit large.
