The water is warm...there's no mosquitoes...the white-sand beaches are, well...incredible! Could this really be Idaho? This is the Salmon River Canyon. The added thrill of rafting makes this the perfect spot for the finest family vacation imaginable. Active parents and grandparents are encouraged to bring the entire clan, including kids as young as five. With a special family focus, plenty of stops are planned to let children swim and play. Lots of toys and games are included, as well as informative nature hikes. Dinner offers a creative menu suitable to kids' tastes, and is served prior to a more lavish meal for the adults. On the river, young guests can ride in large, oar-powered rafts, while older guests have the choice of paddle rafts and inflatable kayaks. Life on the river doesn't get any better than this!

In the paddle strokes of Lewis and Clark, take a historic journey by voyageur canoe. If rivers could talk, the upper Missouri would tell a story few others could match. The banks have seen it all, from early Native American cultures and white man’s exploration and fur trade to the eventual military conquest and settlement of the West. Learning about these themes in a fun, adventurous manner is what this trip is all about. You’ll travel as the original voyageurs did in broad-beamed and stable 34-foot canoes. Each canoe will carry up to 15 paddlers and two guides. A gear boat will travel ahead to set up a luxurious camp with solar shower, tents, hors d’oeuvres, and a five-course meal.
