Wa She Shu It Deh Native American Festival
July 26–27
The West just wouldn't be the West without the Native American culture and influence, and the Wa She Shu It Deh Native American Festival at the Valhalla Estate honors the tradition of local tribes with a native film festival, traditional dances, native artists and performers, hand game tournaments, native foods, and basket weaving.

Lake Tahoe Concours d'Elegance
August 7–9
Wooden boats and steamships have plied Lake Tahoe's clear blue waters since in the 1800s, and the tradition is kept alive at this event, where more than 100 show-quality Chris Craft, Riva, and other classic brands gather at the Sierra Boat Company in Carnelian Bay on the North Shore for public ogling. It's not every day you get to see—and hear—a 50-foot, American-made, 1936 Thunderbird Hacker worth $4 million roar its two, 12-cylinder 2,600-horsepower engines. At the VIP event on Thursday, people are even allowed on the boats and taken out for rides.
