All ticket brokers and airline alliances offer custom-made trips, and each have their own rules and hoops to jump through. Some have three-month long timetables and charge more to extend your travels or change your departure dates, while others allow you up to a year and as many delays as your heart desires—as long as you change any flights before they take off. Cheapest stops include New York, Los Angeles, or San Francisco; Bangkok and Hong Kong in Southeast Asia; Delhi or Bombay in Asia; and London or Amsterdam in Europe. Dropping below the equator usually ups the price of a ticket around $400. And Africa…we didn’t find a single ticket stopping there for less than two grand. Here’s several standard itineraries from Air Brokers—one of the easiest and best deals out there—that we thought rocked:

Budget Travel with India in the Middle: $1,299
Los Angeles or San Francisco, Seattle, or Portland to Hong Kong to Bangkok to Bombay or Delhi to Paris, Frankfurt, or London. Then from London or Paris to New York, or from London to Chicago.

Asia and Europe Airfare Bargain: $1,399
