Atlantis, the Bahamas
Sleek and understated, Mandara Spa sits at the heart of the larger-than-life, beyond-Vegas-style Atlantis resort, so as you pass through the sanctuary's hushed, water-walled portal, you feel as if you've discovered an alternate and thoroughly serene universe.

Available exclusively to guests of The Cove (an upscale 600-room wing of the sprawling resort), the spa's three-day wellness program begins with measurement and analysis of your fat-to-muscle ratio, followed by a fitness and nutrition consultation. Guests are steered toward healthy items on the resort's menus and receive a personalized diet-and-exercise program to be used at the resort and at home. Other components of the package include an 80-minute purification ritual comprising either a seaweed, coconut-and-milk or frangipani wrap or a coffee body scrub; personal training sessions; deep tissue, Swedish or sports massages; and anti-aging or aromatherapy facials. Alternatively, guests can custom-build their own retreat in advance.

From $490 in low season ($755 high). The wellness package is an additional $600. 888-877-7525
