There are some gear companies that we like simply for the way they handle themselves. Take Blurr, a Canadian climbing-clothes outfit that uses T-shirts from American Apparel, a sweatshop-free California supplier; designs with a '70s flair without dropping into full-on time warp; and crafts clothes that never forget the function part of the equation. Take the Axiom and Corsan, two pairs of plush corduroys (men's and women's, respectively) with a medium welt, loose fit, and just the right touch of stretch for pure, unrestricted comfort—exactly what your post-piste legs crave. They even have a hidden drawcord to accommodate that expanding waistline as you carbo-load on the pasta special.
